Scribblin’ on Scrap
by Rik Maki
Soft bound book of 96 pages with 64 pages of full color. Over 200 pencil sketches drawn on receipts, bills, newspaper and whatever scrap of paper was handy. Each sketch taking somewhere between 5-15 minutes, Scribblin' on Scrap is Rik Maki's second book that is born from the no frills, quick sketch style that has become his signature.

Without any formal art training, Rik has been sketching ever since he was a small boy living in Vancouver Canada. Inspired by Willard Mullin, Lew Saw and Mad Magazine and today being so surrounded by technology, Rik Maki just keeps on drawing on anything he can get his hands on.
He has been a designer in the animation industry for over 27 years and has spent the last 18 years as a Character Designer for Walt Disney Feature Animation. Scribblin’ Scrap is just filled with characters and situations that quickly flow from the imagination, to the pencil, to the scrap of paper from the hand of Rik Maki.
